Katwe, Uganda – July 23, 2025
Rising Ugandan musician and dancer Kapilipiti Omubaya today paid a courtesy visit to the Katwe Division Police Commander (DPC), Superintendent of Police (SP) Innocent Mubangizi, in a meeting that highlighted both encouragement and caution for the talented youth.
The DPC expressed his admiration for the young artist, revealing that he is one of Kapilipiti’s fans and applauding him for using his talent to reach audiences across Uganda and beyond.
"I'm proud to see such young talent making waves not only here at home but also on international platforms," said SP Mubangizi. "Your gift is a powerful tool that has taken you places, and it is inspiring many others."
However, the Katwe DPC also offered firm advice to the artist, urging him to remain grounded and avoid the temptations that often come with fame.
"Fame can be both a blessing and a trap," SP Mubangizi cautioned. "Do not let the limelight lead you into dangerous activities that can tarnish your image and destroy your career. Stay focused, stay disciplined."
Kapilipiti Omubaya, who has recently gained popularity on social media and in urban dance circles, thanked the DPC for his support and guidance, promising to uphold a positive image and continue inspiring young people through music and dance.
The meeting marks a growing trend of engagement between law enforcement and youth influencers, aimed at promoting discipline, mentorship, and social responsibility among Uganda's rising stars.
