CBS FM's Emmanduso stars receive wise counsel from Buganda Premier Charles Peter Mayiga
Today, MC Wale Wale and DJ Stevo of 89.2 CBS FM's Emmanduso led a team of young and vibrant Ugandan musicians to Bulange, Mengo, for a special visit to the office of the Katikkiro of Buganda, Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga.
The entourage included fast-rising stars Wajja Victor, popularly known as Victor Ruz, Shena Skies Namagembe, and their manager Mugerwa Joseph Zamba. The visit was part of an initiative to connect Buganda’s cultural leadership with the next generation of Ugandan entertainers, promoting talent development and cultural pride.
During the interaction, Katikkiro Mayiga commended the artists for their creativity and ambition, urging them to remain focused and disciplined in their craft. “Your talents are powerful tools,” he said. “But to succeed, you must give your art enough time and attention. Master the skills of singing, songwriting, and even guiding other young talents.”
He emphasized that patience and hard work are essential ingredients in the journey to stardom. “Work harder, stay calm, and wait for your time. Riches, fame, and popularity will follow if you stay committed,” Katikkiro advised.
The artists expressed their gratitude for the opportunity and pledged to use the guidance to grow not just their own careers but also uplift others in the industry. DJ Stevo and MC Wale Wale promised to continue supporting local talent through platforms like Emmanduso that reach thousands of listeners across the Buganda region.
The visit reflects a growing partnership between Buganda’s cultural institutions and the creative arts community, aiming to nurture homegrown talent and foster positive social impact through music.
